Presidents Quiz – January 2021

For 2020-21, the Presidents groupings are as follows:

  • El/Mid: Group B #16-#33 (#16-#24 in the first round, #25-#33 in the second round)
  • Jr/Sr: Group B #16-#33 in the first round, Group C #28-#45 in the second round

The themes are all divisions will be Occupations and Posts, and Jr/Sr also plays Immigration.

  1. Following pay cuts, the first major interstate strike began on the Baltimore and Ohio (B&O) railroad line. Additional strikes followed, lasting a month. These were the first major interstate strikes in the U.S. I sent federal troops to protect mail and put down the riots that took place in numerous cities.

  2. I invited Theodore Roosevelt to the White House and appointed him Civil Service Commissioner.

  3. I appointed William L. Sharkey the provisional governor of Mississippi. Over the next few weeks, I also appointed provisional governors for Georgia, Texas, Alabama, South Carolina, and Florida.
