Identify the president from each clue.

  1. My wife and I went to the same university. She was a much better student than I was and also a better athlete than me. While I was president, Japan invaded Manchuria.

  3. Native Americans were finally granted American citizenship although they didn’t receive full nationwide voting rights until 1957.
  4. After I left the presidency, I helped campaign for Senator Barry Goldwater during his losing campaign for the presidency. The man who defeated Goldwater frequently reached out to me for advice while he was president. He also asked me to represent the United States at the funeral of Winston Churchill.
